Market Analyst Intern

The intern reports directly to Corning Vietnam’s Country Mgr. & Manufacturing Development Mgr.  He/ She will also get a chance to work with a team of smart and motivated Sourcing and Business Development (BD) Managers based in the Vietnam to plan and coordinate development of local market research studies in support of market entry strategic planning of several Corning’s businesses.

He/ She conducts in-country market research on Vietnam’s Top 3 business conglomerates i.e., Viettel, FPT and VinGroup.  He/ She builds business intelligence frameworks, leverages data analytics to identify new business opportunities and formulate engagement approach with them.
He/ She also carry out social listening, branded search volume, and/or brand awareness surveys to measure Corning brands’ popularity in Vietnam market.  He/ She establishes strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance business performance and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. He/ She is analytical and can multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Trainings will be provided to the selected intern to prepare him/her well for his/her assignments.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Conduct research on market movements, business disruptors and economic landscape to identify new business opportunities.
• Support business development lifecycle activities for identified product lines (read: market landscape scan, market sizing, customer research, competitor analysis, development of Go-To-Market strategies, etc.)
• Use of digital tools (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI etc.) to prepare, monitor, analyze regional business development activities, translating key trends/ insights through storytelling and driving actionable recommendations for improvements.

Required Education: Requirements

• Major in Business Administration/Material Sciences/Engineering or related discipline
• Software knowledge
